I mentioned in my last post that as we left Bouckville and the surrounding area we hit a few barn sales on the way out.
In addition to the vintage Christmas, we got a few more cool things to round out our trip -- like this fabulous box!
I'm not sure what I like best about it.
The label on the inside?
The compartment sections?
Or the debossed letters and latch?
Probably all of the above. Don't you think it will make a great display piece?
I also couldn't resist this big stoneware mixing bowl with green stripe -- it was a steal!
We have a collection of vintage yellowware bowls, but maybe I can sneak this one in there too.
While shopping with Barbara from Oodles and Oodles, I mentioned that I would love to collect vintage Pyrex, but wouldn't be able to decide on a color or pattern, so I just stay away.
However, I would have been a fool pass up this multi-color set which was selling much more inexpensively at one of the barn sales.
Now I don't have to decide!
And that's it, friends! The official last post of Bouckville, 2012. Here's hoping our September and October yards sale adventures yield just as many goodies!
OH I love that box! And the bowls are wonderful...I use that set of Pyrex, too!

What finds! Those pyrex bowls don't even look like they have ever been used. Good luck with the garage saling. I'm already looking forward to Madison Bouckville next year.

I agree on "all of the above" for the box...awesome!! I have a tiny bowl that matches yours. The pyrex looks mint and I would have had to have that set...love the vibrant colors!!

Those bowls are my Mom's! Always try to pick them up when I see them. Love your box with compartments...very cool and you are right...a great display piece. I'm off to Brimfield...have a great weekend! :)
