It helps to have friends in neighboring states who enjoy going to estate sales. Friends who then text you when they see something you may like. Friends who then pay for and carry the heavy rusty dirty thing for you, all the while looking cute and put together.

I think your little what-it is a small hanging storage. I remember my momma using something similar to hold baby socks & booties. A hanger is inserted through the "sleeve" opening and the hook of the hanger fits through the small opening at the top. It can then be hung from a hook or closet rod.

Been surfing some friends of friends on blogspot and found your fantastic blog. I adore your old picker, can you believe how ladies used to be so proficient on this machine, it took lots of hand power to push those keys. Had a blast-even tho I'm now sick and probably picked up something in that house that I feared was going to blow with a gas leak!! I'm holding it ransom--must come for a drink with Keiren!
