We were able to get a few things last weekend, but the unbearable heat has definitely curtailed our bargain hunting adventures.
I got this vintage doll playpen at a yard sale; it has castors on the bottom. Little Miss VJIMT thinks I bought it for her to use.
Mr. VJIMT found this gray-blue box at the same sale. It was full of stuff, and the seller was a little surprised when my hubby asked if he could just buy the box.
On Sunday we took a little road trip and found this cool Radio Junior postcard projector from the 1920s. Love the red color and graphics.
We stopped off at The Gypsy Barn Market for their summer sale and I was OVERWHELMED by the great vintage stuff and stunning handmade merchandise by Beth and Jill.
I'm not sure what we're going to use this for -- maybe the boy's myriad fossil, rock, and shell collection? -- but it is super cool!
It's wedge-shaped and the cubbies get larger as you get lower.
But my favorite find from the Gypsy girls? I got this awesome bracelet but had a hard time making up my mind. So many fabulous vintage choices!
This weekend was even more bereft of fun finds. No one wants to be outside -- the heat index is a ridiculous 116°, and the wall of humidity knocks you down as soon as you venture out!
I forgot to show you the drawer from the bathroom vanity reveal. Mr. VJIMT was able to divide it in such a way as to be able to use it for storage while still allowing for the pipes to go through.
