It's cold where you are, right? Because it's cold everywhere. Really cold. Linda of Itsy Bits & Pieces said it was -23° in her part of Minnesota last week. Actual temperature, not a "real feel" with the wind chill added. Now that's cold!
I really don't mind the cold too much; I live on the East Coast. It's January. I expect it to be cold.
Snowmageddons, Polar vortexes, Alberta clippers, and those boring old Nor'easters. Call it what you will, all I know is there is no junk to be found. And that, my friends, chills me to the bone.
I have little to share with you. Crockpot recipes?
I made this Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings. The dumplings (refrigerated buttermilk biscuits) didn't puff up and cook like they were supposed to, but the ones I purchased may have been too large. Still pretty yummy though.
Stella heard heat rises and decided to head for higher ground. I thought for sure she was gonna knock over that lamp.
Luna found a high perch of her own. She also has crazy eyes.
And then she decided to take a brisk stroll. This is INSIDE our screened-in porch after we got a foot of snow last week. She walked out a little bit and quickly turned around and headed back to the fireplace.
These cashmere fingerless gloves were a gift from Mr. VJIMT for Christmas. They are so soft and cuddly! I wear them everyday at my computer workstation.
We bought this metal "S" (from freshvintage) for little Miss VJIMT to use as a paperweight. Her brother thinks we should not supply her with heavy projectile weapons.
I stopped at our local antique store and found this vintage money bag from the Federal Reserve Bank, where I worked for 5 years after college graduation. I may frame it, or make a little pillow.
And I finally bought this box of made-in-Poland indent ornaments, which I passed up twice in previous visits.
I'm not sure why, since it was only $9. The cold must be freezing my brain. Stay warm!
