The freelance design project I've been working on for most of the month has left the building! It officially went to The Printer just moments ago, so at long last I can concentrate on the junk.
The (Memorial) holiday weekend was a bust yard-sale wise, but we had a really good day the Saturday prior. Take a look at the haul!
More vintage blocks (the last interlocking set I had sold quickly in my Etsy shop), a green scale, a glass jar with green lid (to match the one we found earlier in the month), a lamp base you'll see again in a minute, a concrete pedestal with glass dome, an assortment of plates, some bling, and the skinny wooden table everything's on.
Silver trays and some vintage Christmas that I had to dig for at a hoarder's yard sale. It wasn't as good as it sounds.
These amethyst bottles aren't vintage, but they are in a metal carrier and will look sweet holding a few flower stems.
I couldn't resist the old school desk, even though there are a few already (being used) in our basement. With its painted red seat and green desktop, it's the perfect holiday porch decor! Green and blue books and an antique chalk slate with attached stylus rounds out the school days theme.
Some more porcelain, a great suitcase, and a bunch of old magazines from the 30s and 40s, including a few Farm Journals.
Close up of a hummingbird plate. You know what I'll do with this.
A pink schoolhouse chalkboard, a vintage type tray with metal label, and the most adorable puppy print ever!
Look how cute it is! There is some water damage, but the colors are really lovely and the subject matter irresistible! We've collected animal prints through the years -- you've seen some in Little Miss VJIMT's room -- I may have to squeeze this one in!
So remember that glass lamp base? I have been looking for one to go with the shade I thrifted months ago, and I think it works pretty well! It doesn't really go with our primitive farmhouse look though, so it's Etsy-bound.
Now I have to sort through all this stuff and either list it or find a home for it before my house gets nominated to be on the Hoarders show!
