Mr. VJIMT and I were surprised to find a local estate sale on Saturday. Surprised, and very pleased! There was a big crowd, and the house was small, but we managed to get in and find a few treasures!
Or should I say, Mr. VJIMT found the treasures. I picked this case up and then put it down again, fearing it was too pricey for me (nothing was priced). Plus I don't have much movie camera expertise.
The mister worked a deal, though, and this fab vintage movie camera came home with us.
This has got to be the coolest bowling trophy ever.
Look at the form (and patina) on this guy!
And how about that eagle?
We walked into one of the bedrooms and there was a guy blocking my view. Mr. VJIMT nudged me and pointed down to the right of him.
This was there.
This is my third color wheel in a little more than a year. I asked the seller if he had the aluminum tree to go with it but he didn't know what had happened to it. Drats.
On the way out, I spied these scary darling elves in bags of trash that had already been taken out of the house before the sale. Beats me why you would trash things before seeing if anyone was willing to buy them. The cardboard vintage Christmas sleigh they were on was completed ruined by the overnight rain, but these little guys should dry out just fine.
I'm hoping that vintage aluminum tree wasn't bundled up in one of the trash bags!

You can sell those elves! They are called "kneehuggers" and some are very valuable. Here's an entry about some we just sold: http://digthistreasure.com/post/36666405259/christmastime-is-here
A lot can sell for almost $100 and individual ones sometimes $30 each! Good luck and hello from Digthistreasure.com!
