Saturday saw me selling at another craft/vendor fair, so no junking for me. Not much out there now anyway, since it is getting a bit blustery.
Could the previous weekend have been my last yard sale of the season? Now THAT gives me shivers!
But at least I went out with a bang -- a few sales brought some Christmas items, most of them vintage.
Like thses little bell ornaments.
And these small feather tree decorations and Shiny Brites.
This fencing is not vintage, but it's still cute.
As are these faux bottle brush trees.
But this Gurley pumpkin candle is the real deal.
As are these black cats.
And this adorable dachshund folk art sewing tool caddy is definitely vintage.
Spools of thread go on the pegs, the felt acts as a pincushion, and there is even a slot for a little pair of scissors.
And finally, this vintage beauty.
For those of you keeping score, that's NINE typewriters (one in deplorable condition but salvaged for its keys) in the past eleven weekends. And two of those Saturdays were vendor fair days which precluded me from junking.
So I'm batting 1.000 on typewriter scores this yard sale season! Don't you hate to see a great season end?
Candles, dachshund, candles, dachshund ... just debating which I love more.

One question on the Dachshund... what is the purpose of the 'little yellow pile' below his tail on the board?? ;-) Even the folkartists had warped senses of humour!!! Makes me love it even more!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

You sure did good for a "no junking" weekend! Although not vintage, those little fences can be used in so many ways!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Yes, I, too, hate to see the season end. So I dream about the start of the new one.
I don't sew, but I adore handmade, folk art things like your doggy. He is just adorable and fun...great find. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your fammily.

I do hate to see the season end...especially when I see finds like yours! I never get used to seeing vintage Christmas...always wonderful eye candy! Have a great Thanksgiving, Gina!
