We went to a ton of yard sales on Saturday, including another town-wide bunch. I thought we bought more than we did, but I don't seem to have many photos. Maybe all the Barbie dolls and Ken clothes and dollhouse furniture we got for Little Miss VJIMT dulled my brain cells?
I did find this sweet vintage suitcase. The inside is a little torn and dirty with makeup, but I like the color and size, which makes it great for display and stacking on top of other ones.
We got this cast iron thingamajig for a dime! I have a vintage glass lampshade I use as a bowl and this will be a good base for it. Currently, the "bowl" sits in a vintage iron tree stand; I think this will be a better fit.
Plus crusty rusty goodness!
Aw, look at this adorable little baby hanger shaped like a sleeping angel puppy.
Another assortment of plates; you're tired of seeing them, right? I know Mr. VJIMT is!
And another assortment of vintage glass doorknobs -- more wine bottle stoppers to be born!
It seems we can never pass up a well-made rocking chair. This thing weighs a ton, and is in excellent condition.
And sells for $140 new at Cracker Barrel.
We got it for $10. How can you not love a yard sale?
