Way back in November, an old college (and junking) pal and I got together and went to an outdoor flea market. We hadn't been to this particular flea market in many, many years, and were hoping to find more than the standard tube sock and fake designer handbag fare.
She got a vintage artillery shell (?) and a giant agate basin (and a breakfast shish kebab, but our friendship prevents me from showing that photo).
I'm not sure if anyone's interested in seeing any more vintage Christmas stuff, but this is what I got.
Three small holiday blow molds, from three separate vendors. The small snowman is a container; his head comes off!
A bunch of bottle brush wreaths, embellished with shiny reflectors, mercury ball ornaments, and glittered deer.
Shiny Brites and cookie cutters. I thought I might try to glitter them like I saw Heidi do here, but I wasn't crazy about my results.
A bumpy chenille holiday corsage, featuring sweet Baby Jesus.
And this cherubic bumpy chenille angel… thing.
A bunch of lovely reflectors in spectacular pink and aqua.
A miniature santa, pixie, and tiny wreath.
I did find a few items that weren't Christmas-themed, like these gorgeous floral tin plates, made in England.
All in all, it was a really fun day and a pleasant surprise. Mr. VJIMT and I have gone twice more since -- posts coming up!

Would you mind sharing where the flea market was? I live in Ohio and can not find anything to do right now!!! LOL (and dont worry, our tastes seem quite different, so u wont have competition! :) )

Always like seeing vintage. A true junker never gets tired of anything vintage.

I got my calendar! (Love it) Thank you so much. =D
You seem to have the best of luck finding vintage Christmas stuff.
(So many sweet things)
I am waiting very patiently for spring weather so our garage saling and flea markets start up again! My Saturdays are so boring lately. *lol*

Well, you're well on your way to next year's xmas stash! I love those pretty tin plates! It's so hard in the cold weather to find flea markets...that's why I'm going south! :)
Fun to connect with old friends...especially when they love junk as much as you do!
She's a cutie and looks like a great time was had by all! Happy weekend, happy hunting!

LOVE those Christmas goodies. Especially the little green elf, I have a red one. And if you ever don't need that green one you just let me know. I can unburden you.

It looks like you had fun and found some neat old Christmas finds. A few things I remember my mom had when I was a kid (the snowman with removable top and the elf). The plates are pretty nice, too.

Rest assured, I will always look at vintage Christmas although with regard to the white bumpy chenille thing, I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking at!
I would have bought it too. :-)
