In yesterday’s post, I teased you with some images of Mr. VJIMT’s impromptu bathroom remodel project. Are you ready for the big reveal?
The only thing we bought new was the sink/faucet combo (the tile floor was inherited from the previous owner; fortunately, it has a vintage look to it).
The dresser was a yard sale find ($10) that I’m pretty sure I got a little flack for buying. It’s been sitting in our “barn” for the last year. I knew it was too good to pass up!
And does this mirror look familiar? It’s from the crazy estate sale I visited three different times. I plucked it from the basement on the third go-round… an $18 find. I loved the curves to it and never saw it the first two times I was there. I was also guessing it was the right size to fit the space, and yeah, it’s pretty perfect.
Mr. VJIMT did a fabulous job matching the color to the existing dresser -- looks like they were part of a set!
Some other bits and pieces to round out the room… a vintage metal memo/receipt holder repurposed as towel holder.
All of the following items were housed in this bathroom before the re-do and made the cut to stay. I’ve always loved this little print of a European opera house.
Here is a lovely silver mesh antique purse. I have a few more that are in various states of disrepair; I should probably group them all together and hang them here since they're not really usable in their present condition.
This soap label just happens to be our initials.
On the back wall, another mirror project you saw in the making! Yard sale find -- $5.
So there you have it! My new favorite room in the house, for under $150, plus the free labor. Gotta love it.

I love your vanity and sink. Hope to do one too real soon.

It's taking a lot of self-control right now to not go to the upstairs bathroom and just start ripping out fixtures. That is an amazing transformation!

Love the room. The dresser and mirror are terrific. Love the accessories too. Great workmanship, but are you sure it really didn't cost anything in labor? I say your laborer wants a creative payment!
