I found this whole bridal party of vintage 1950s chalkware wedding cake toppers a few weeks ago and wanted to feature them in a special post all their own because I think they're pretty spectacular!
Five bridesmaids and their corresponding groomsmen, a flower girl, officiant, and altar (with door that opens and removable candelabrum).
The altar is plastic and some of the groomsmen may have partied a bit too much the night before, but they are still fabulous!
Love the green bridesmaids’ dresses and satiny skirts.
The officiant and little flower girl are ceramic and not chalk, but since her dress is the same color as the rest of the bridal party I think they are part of the original set.
I never saw a whole set like this, have you?
A blessed event find!
Gina, love your find and your blog. I've just registered an Etsy shop but have NOTHING listed yet. In fact, I'm still trying to figure some things out. I'm just north of Indy and my daughter is in Newburg, very close to you. If you have any advice about Etsy, I would be very interested in hearing it.
Have a God Filled Day
Shirley
PS I am "following" your blog and I "like" you FB page.

What an awesome find, only enhanced by your "rough night" comment. Typical groomsmen....

Fantastic indeed! I've never seen anything like it. So amazing that someone kept this for so long and then just let it go to a church sale. Lucky you though!
