Merry Christmas -- hope you are all enjoying your festivities! I think I already need a nap, but wanted to share a few things with you before the day was under way.
First off… the BEST package decoration ever. I purchased two spools of red and green tulle at a long-ago yard sale for a quarter apiece. Tied it around all of the packages for a cheap and easy pretty wrap.
Here's our (blurry) Christmas tree right after Santa dropped by around midnight.
And our traditional photo of the kids by the tree before the mayhem begins.
We did have one casualty -- a favorite vintage glass bird ornament. He was missing his tree clip, so I placed him gently on the piano with the Putz houses. Days later a piece of flocked fruit fell from the bedecked railing and smashed the poor little birdie to smithereens. Guess I'll be searching Etsy this week!
Breakfast of champions.
I'll leave you with my very favorite family Christmas card of years past (sadly, Leo is no longer with us). I found this vintage toboggan postcard in Bouckville years ago, and knew with a little Photoshopping (and some glass glitter, of course) it would make a fun card. From our house to yours, a very safe and happy holiday season!
