Saturday was a weird yard sale day. I got weird stuff. I don't know what possessed me to buy some of the things I bought.
Like these five fuzzy children's puzzles from the 1960’s.
And even more fuzzy things. A llama(!), a bobble-headed thermometer puppy (what?), and a one-eared bulldog (may be Steiff?).
Was it because they were cheap? Because I knew the rest of the sales were lame-o baby stuff? Because soccer was going to cut right into the middle of the sales -- again?
I don't know. But not all of my stuff was weird. Here’s a great metal spring scale balance. Now that's more like it.
But then back to the weird stuff (for me). I don't have an explanation for these. I don't even know what they are. They're made out of shells. I NEVER buy things made out of shells. And they're big, like eight inches in diameter, and heavy. And the pointy metal petals are LETHAL. But I upon first glance, I thought they were some sort of vintage metal folk art.
