Well, my hopes were high that I would get to go to my first estate sale of the year this morning, but Mother Nature had other plans. Twenty-two inches already and it's still snowing.
I guess today I'll wax nostalgic over yard sales gone by since there are none in my immediate future. Here are a few of my favorite finds:
Awesome yellow tin canisters with Bakelite knobs. They are so cool. My eyes nearly popped out of my head when I saw them. And the $10 price tag. For the set (lollipops not included).
Lovely perfume bottle found at a barn sale just outside the Renningers Kutztown Extravaganza. Love the label and the stopper.
One dollar decanters. I just can't pass them up. They're a dollar! But I think I need more bath salts to fill them all up. Yes, and that mantle hangs over the tub. Gotta give my husband props for that display idea.
Continuing to search the house...
Day two of blogging and it's already a blast! Thank you to all my fellow vintage bloggers for your kind words and encouragement. A special shout out to Sue of Vintage Rescue Squad for her complete willingness to share her blogdom travels and travails with an anonymous novice. Her enthusiasm and prodding were just what I needed to take the plunge. Hope we can meet up at an outdoor flea one of these days!
Welcome to our little corner of the blog world. I will be following the progress of this blog, looks very promising so far!!
So sorry about the huge snow storm. Winter sucks.
Fortunately in my little corner of Virginia we didn't get squat for snow this weekend. I'm sure you didn't need to here that, right? xo, suzy
